When you listen to live music, all the high and low frequencies reach your ears at the same time. When music is recorded and played back through speakers, the process induces “frequency dependent phase shifting.” In layman’s terms it makes the music sound unfocused and muddy. That’s why recorded music never seems to have that same punch and sparkle as when you hear it live.

The BBE system changes all that. Without getting too technical, BBE technology compensates for the phase shifting between your high, low, and mid frequencies, while also augmenting your sound to compensate for the tendency to lose the extreme high and low frequency range during recording and playback. VST 2 compliant host applications

The VST plugin is compatible with OS X.

4 versions are available: Direct X, VST-Windows, VST-MAC. There are 2 VST-MAC versions on the disc one of which is a <carbonized> version for use with OSX only. The non-carbonized version will not run on OSX.

Reports say Sonic Maximiser works well with the VST to AU wrapper and the VST to RTAS wrapper; however BBE currently do not support the use of any particular wrapper program.
