MARC X

The MARC X is a fully featured DSP powered multi format - multi I/O 24-bit/96kHz PCI audio card giving a great solution for a wide variety of music and audio applications ncluding: Cakewalk SONAR, SONAR 2, SONAR 3, Cakewalk Pro Audio, Guitar Tracks Pro, Home Studio, Steinberg Cubase VST, Cubase SX, Cubase SL, Cubase SE, Nuendo, Wavelab, Emagic Logic Audio, Adobe Audition, Syntrillium Cool Edit Pro, Cool Edit Pro 2, Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, Acid, Samplitude, GigaStudio, Propellerheads Reason, Ableton Live, Image Line FL Studio (Fruityloops) and other multitrack music software.

All the MARC cards have multi-client drivers with extremely low latencies (down to 2 ms at 96kHz) with ASIO, GSIF and DirectSound, making them especially suitable for time critical applications, such as soft synths (virtual instruments) and samplers like GigaStudio, Project5, Reason, Halion etc.

The MARC X comes with an extensive audio interfaces, including

• 2 channels analogue I/O - expandable to 6 channels with the optional ANX, the Marc X Analog Extender
  
• 2 channels digital I/O S/PDIF
  
• 8 channels ADAT I/O
  
• 2 MIDI I/O

All audio interfaces can be used simultaneously. Additional you can connect analogue and digital audio CD drives internally.

For synchronization purposes the Marc X provides you with these interfaces:

• 1 WordClock/SuperClock Output
  
• MARIAN SyncBus for Clock/Start/Stop synchronization with other MARIAN Sound Systems
  

The Marc X also has a 32 channel digital mixer - This Mixer, has a software interface but is implemented in the Marc X hardware using a DSP giving fast and flexible operation including: latency free mixing of all input and output channels to three stereo sums This way you can create perfect monitor mixes very quickly and may route this mix to any available output. But of course you can also monitor an input directly at an output - latency free.
