Computers are wonderful for recording audio, but keyboards and mice aren't always the best tools for controlling audio software. If you're playing a guitar or sitting in front of a rack of keyboards, getting good access to the computer can be a nightmare.
That's when you need RedRover. It installs in a snap via USB, and with it, you can control Adobe Audition 1.5, 1.0 and Cool Edit Pro 2.x from up to ten feet away. So you can put RedRover in your music environment-- at your synth rack, or guitar stool-- and leave the computer at the mixing desk.
RedRover shows you all the key information you need to record and even do basic mixing right on its LCD panel. When you're done recording, take RedRover back to the computer to use its transports while you mix and master.

Not much smaller than a standard VHS videotape, the RedRover duplicates all of the standard transport controls and adds a few extra useful elements to the design. You can not only add cues; activate the metronome; or solo, mute and record a track but also select which track you are working on and monitor output levels. Plug RedRover into your Windows XP PC and your system will instantly recognize it
If your project studio is a nest (or mess) of cables, you will also appreciate the Red Rover being able to draw its power from that USB connection, eliminating the need to add one more AC adapter to your rig. You can even extend the functional distance of Red Rover from the host PC with the use of a USB extension cable or a third-party hub - meaning that any member of your live ensemble could set Audition or Cool Edit Pro 2.x in motion from the farthest reaches of your rehearsal space.
