Peter has been an acoustic guitar player for more years that he cares to admit. Having been inspired by Paul Simon's version of Anji on the Sounds of Silence album, he went on to become an accomplished fingerstyle player with a repetoire that includes ragtime, blues, traditional and contmporary folk music and a few surprises.
Peter bought Et Cetera in January 2006 and intends to continue growing the business by offering the best products at a competitive price, supported by people who really know what they are doing. You can hear Peter here.
Tim Burwell - Technical
and Sales Support
Tim is a well known musician on the North West scene. He spent three years as a recording engineer for a local studio. In 1999, Tim's band, Gecho, were the first band to take part in the New Deal for Musicians initiative. Subsequently, he continued to work with the band whilst working as a producer, re-mixer and recording engineer for many artists using his home built PC based recording studio as well as working as a live sound engineer for various local venues. He joined Et Cetera in 2001 and has forged a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable support analysts in the country. After work, he writes and performs with his new band - Strangers and Aliens. Simon Capper - Trade
Sales
Coming from a musical family Simon was always going
to end up in the music buisness in one way or another.
Having played guitar since he was big enough to hold
one he has become an accomplished player with over
20 years playing experience, taking influence from
his guitar hero Angus Young of AC/DC.
As he entered his teens he became increasingly interested
in electronic music and djing and decided to enroll
on a btec music technology course at St Helens College
Merseyside which he funded by his rising number of
dj gigs across the UK and Europe.
He then went to study music technology and recording
at Manchester Midi School - Steinbergs official training
centre gaining valuable experience in working studios.
After this he went to work for one the biggest vinyl
and music distributors in the UK for three years and
for the last two years he has worked in the sales
team for www.dolphinmusic.co.uk using his knowledge
of all things musical to help fellow musicians / dj's
and Producers across the UK and Europe.
