Cool Edit Pro: Troubleshooting loading of VOX files

Cool Edit Pro supports the Dialogic VOX 6khz and 8khz ADPCM-compressed file formats, both of which are headerless. Cool Edit assumes any files with the extension .vox is a VOX file. However, there are other flavors of VOX. If the file you're trying to load doesn't load correctly, you can also try loading it as raw PCM and choosing either A-Law or mu-Law and 6000 or 8000Hz sample rates. Some "VOX" files are 8-bit mu-law or a-law.
