How to determine the BPM of a song

1. Open you file in the single waveform view (not multitrack).
2. Zoom in and select one bar (4 beats) of the song.
3. Listen to it in loop play mode and make sure it loops smoothly. If it doesn't adjust your selection until it loops smoothly.
4. Now go to edit, then Edit Tempo.
5. Where it says "bars highlighted", enter the number of bars in your selection. If you selected 4 beats, you will want to enter 1.
6. Click Extract.

The Beats per minute (BPM) should change under tempo. This is the BPM of your song.
