Cool Edit Pro: Why can I only record a few minutes into Cool Edit?

Cool Edit is probably running out of Hard Disk space.

When you record audio into Cool Edit, it records it into it's temporary directory. The very first time your ran the Cool Edit setup, it asked you where do you want the temporary directory to be created. If you don't remember, select Options > Settings > System and see what directory you have selected for primary and secondary. Now make sure you have enough free HD Space left on these drives. You can change your temporary folders to other drives that may have more HD space. Also, make sure that the directory that you are pointing to actually exists and that you are NOT reserving more than 10-20 MB free. This is the space reserved for other functions. Cool Edit and Cool Edit Pro will NOT use it during recording audio.
