RealAudio files that were saved in Cool ..

Cool Edit Pro: RealAudio files that were saved in Cool Edit are staticy, garbled, and have lots of hiss when played in the RA player.

The files you saved as RA are in 8-bit mode. RealAudio supports only 16-bit audio files. Make sure the file that you are saving to the Real Audio format are 16-bit files. The Real Audio player will only play .ra files that are 16 bit. In Cool Edit, use Edit > Convert Sample Type, to convert your 8-bit files to 16-bit files.

Real Media G2 support was first included in Cool Edit Pro 1.2. If you have version 1.0 or 1.1 upgrade to version 1.2.
