Cool Edit Pro: MMSYSTEM003 - The driver was not enabled.

This is an error generated by your sound card driver. Cool Edit is just telling you what error your sound card generated when Cool Edit tried to access your sound card driver. This is almost certainly an error with the installation, setup, or configuration of your sound card drivers. There may also be a hardware conflict between your sound card driver and other devices.

Solutions:

Make sure that you have the correct device selected in Options->Settings->Devices.
Download and install an updated driver for your sound card. This usually fixes the problem.
