How to save as GSM 6.10

Cool Edit Pro: How to save as GSM 6.10

If you have Windows, it comes with a compression called GSM6.10. To use this compression, you must follow these guidelines:

The file you are using should be in Mono. GSM 6.10 does not support stereo sound files. You can choose any sample rate you wish.

Select Save as,
Choose the "ACM Waveform"
Click on the Option button.
Choose the GSM 6.10 format (or try TrueSpeech to if you like, which only works at 8KHz).
The original audio should be 16-bit though, since using 16-bit source audio on any compression scheme will not make the file any larger, but will definitely make the file sound better. GSM and TrueSpeech are best for speech.
