Corrupt wave files

Cool Edit Pro: Sometimes my wave file gets corrupted and a section of the file keeps repeating itself several times.

Some users have experienced repeated playback of a small section of their audio file. This often happens right after using a transform filter, saving a file, or pressing stop after recording audio.

This is usually caused because of limited Hard disk space. The problem surfaces when Cool Edit does not have enough room to write its temporary files during a transform, save operation, or recording.

To solve this problem, we suggest that you free up more HD space. Generally, 3 times the space is required for ample edit room. (One copy as the original, one as the temp which is created when you open it, and one for editing). If you do not have enough free space, try disabling "undo" before you run a transform. You can disable Undo by selecting Options > Settings > System and unchecking the "Enable Undo" box.
